Aerit is a venture backed sustainable drone delivery startup. Our mission is full-automation of global delivery and logistics. Our platform connects businesses with their customers using our Nimbi drones. Nimbi is capable of both pick-up and delivery without the need for additional infrastructure.

Since founding in 2021, Aerit has launched our first autonomous drone the Aerit Nimbi, and completed Sweden’s first commercial drone delivery, as well as established and operated Sweden's first commercial drone delivery service. Job Description

We are searching for a driven design engineer to help build and develop our drones and drone infrastructure. You will independently lead the development of new features, as well as discuss and debate the best solutions with the engineering team.

Requirements

• Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and GD&T.
• Experience working with CAD software such as Solidworks or Onshape.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• You live in or are willing to move to Stockholm.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
• You can wear multiple hats to support the team where needed.

Things that put you at the top

• Mechatronics engineers with above requirements met. 
  
• You have brought a product from design through manufacturing and certification.
• You have been involved in autonomous driving or drone companies in the past.
• You have built drones before.
• You have a drone license and flown drones before.
• Startup experience.
• Experience and knowledge in high-tech mechanical systems such as drones, robotics, autonomous vehicles, or a related field.
• Experience with developing in accordance to industry standards.
• Experience with PDM and standardization of documentation.
• Experience working with larger CM contracts and establishing production.
  
• Experience with analysis tools (structural, fluid dynamics)
• Experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies.
  

What you will do

• Design, manufacture, prototype drones and ecosystem components.
  
• Come up with creative solutions to problems.
• Create plans and designs using CAD software.
• Partake in design brief meetings with the engineering team..
• Help out where need be with the development of aerit UAS and hardware.
• Conduct experiments and evaluations to improve components.
• Partake in flight tests.
  
• Build, fly, and test drones and other ecosystem components.
• Work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of drone ops.
  
• Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Take on other roles throughout the company as needed and fit.
